MDI Activities

Activities

The core business of the MDI is the handling of complaints on discrimination on the internet. The MDI is works both on basis of incoming complaints but also on the basis of research. Here you will find more information on the procedure we follow when handling complaints.

This year we also started working on countering antisemitism and Holocaust denial by counterspeech (pilot-project).

Besides handling complaints the MDI also gives lectures at e.g. universities and schools and gives workshops to moderators of interactive websites on how to recognize and efficiently combat discrimination.

The MDI also gives workshops and lectures to the Police and Public Prosecutor's office on effictively combatting discrimination on the internet. You can read more on the subject of lectures, education and workshops here.

Finally the MDI also does research on discrimination on the internet. Research includes smaller scale research on a specific website, but also research on trends and developments concerning discrimination on the internet
